E ticketing at public transport: solutions, advantages and perspectives in Lithuania
Abstract
E ticket system has become a visit card of nowadays public transport service. Implementing a convenient, easily accessible, intuitive electronic public transport ticket solution can also determine the usage the public transport service. This article analyzes the possibilities of state-of-the-art technologies in order to improve the quality of public transport service and thus encourage the usage of public transport and impact managing public transport costs.

Santrauka
Viešojo transporto paslauga tapo neatsiejama nuo el. bilieto sistemų. Galimybės įdiegti patogų, lengvai pasiekiamą, intuityvų ir modernų elektroninį viešojo transporto bilieto sprendimą ar pagal naujausias tendencijas – apmokėjimo būdą gali lemti ir besinaudojančių viešojo transporto paslauga keleivių skaičių. Šiame straipsnyje analizuojamos pažangiausių technologijų galimybės, siekiant pagerinti viešojo transporto paslaugos kokybę ir taip skatinti naudotis viešuoju transportu bei optimaliai valdyti viešojo transporto sąnaudas.
